Our President is re-elected

The President of UNILINGUE is nominated EUATC President once again.

In the month of November, at the General Meeting of EUATC - European Union of Associations of Translation Companies - the President of Unilingue, Mirko Silvestrini, was unanimously elected President of EUATC once again. This is the first time in the history of EUATC that a President has been re-elected.

This success confirms the visibility of Unilingue within EUATC and recognizes the many initiatives positively pursued by the EUATC President over the last two years. UNILINGUE has done its part in EUATC, helping to support projects sponsored by the European Commission such as the project Optimale - Optimising Professional Translator Training in a Multilingual Europe, the project EMT - European Master's in Translation, as well as AGORA, TRANSCERT and LIND-Web. A series of projects based on dialogue between the translation industry, European institutions and the professionals working with translation companies. In Italy, this visibility has allowed Unilingue to become a part of the Confindustria Technical Committees for Expo 2015 and to confirm to EUATC members the significance and seriousness of one of the most numerous European LSP associations. Our wish is to achieve even more important and surprising results over the next two years and to increasingly place more emphasis on the commitment of UNILINGUE and its members in Italy and in Europe.
